so-called chaises à bras, France mid-16th century, solid walnut frames in trapezoidal shape,
curved armrests on round turned column supports, backrests with forced perspective carvings, old wormholes, signs of age and use as well as cracks.
Similar variants of this model are preserved at the MAK (Museum of Applied Arts – inv. no. H 1627) in Vienna and at the Louvre in Paris.
